1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Scubi ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Scubi.

2. About Scubi

Scubi is a mobile app for dog owners. It helps you manage your dog's health records, find playdates, connect with nearby dog owners, and report or find lost dogs.

The App is available in the United States and Georgia (country). It is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

You keep full ownership of any photos, text, or other content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant Scubi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within the App and for promotional purposes related to the App.

You confirm that you have the right to share anything you upload. Content that is offensive, defamatory, illegal, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes on someone else's rights is not permitted. We may remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

5. Dog Health Records

The health record feature lets you track vaccinations, vet appointments, medications, and grooming schedules. This information is for your personal reference only.

Scubi is not a veterinary service. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for animals. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health decisions about your pet.

Scubi is not responsible for any harm that results from relying on information stored in the App. Reminder notifications are a convenience tool and should not be your only way of tracking important medical dates.

We may suspend or terminate accounts where necessary to protect the safety of users or animals.

6. Playdate Feature

The Playdate feature helps dog owners discover and connect with other dogs and owners nearby.

Scubi is solely a technology platform. We facilitate introductions between users — nothing more. We do not organize, host, supervise, attend, or participate in any real-world meetups, playdates, or interactions.

Your responsibility. When you use the Playdate feature, you are entirely responsible for:

What Scubi does not do.

You are responsible for independently confirming all information before meeting any user or animal.

Assumption of risk. You acknowledge that interactions between dogs carry inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, injuries, illness transmission, and property damage. You assume all such risks. All decisions regarding meetups — including when, where, and with whom to meet — are made entirely by you at your sole discretion and risk.

Release of claims. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that Scubi shall not be liable for any claims arising out of or related to such meetups.

Safety suggestions. For your own safety, we suggest meeting in public places, informing someone you trust of your plans, and ensuring your dog is vaccinated and healthy. These are suggestions only and do not create any obligation or duty of care on the part of Scubi. You interact with other users and animals entirely at your own risk.

7. SOS / Lost Dog Feature

The SOS feature lets you report a lost dog and alert nearby Scubi users. Scubi will make reasonable efforts to distribute your alert but does not guarantee that your dog will be found.

You must only use the SOS feature for genuine emergencies. Filing false or misleading reports will result in immediate account suspension or a permanent ban.

Scubi is not liable for any outcomes related to lost dog reports, including failure to locate a dog.

Some features (Playdate matching, SOS alerts, weather) require access to your device's location. We use location data only for:

The Scubi name, logo, design, and all original content within the App are the intellectual property of Scubi. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

Scubi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scubi shall not be liable for:

We do not guarantee that the App will be secure, error-free, or available at all times.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scubi, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

15. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (country). Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Georgia.

For users in the United States, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable state or federal law.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep it.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. If you continue using the App after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree, you may delete your account before the effective date.

18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply in full.
